Is there any fees to become an AMBA member?

Its FREE at the moment. However, we will be introducing membership fees in the future in order to sustain the cost of running our Association and its activities. We will inform our members in advance before membership payment  is implemented. 

Once we join AMBA, are we allowed to leave the Association?

Yes, anytime. However, you must follow the correct protocol like any other registered bodies, please send an email to amba.melbourne@gmail.com (ATTN: President of AMBA) and express your intention to leave the Association with some explanation. We will not stop anyone from leaving but we do expect everyone to maintain a level of  professionalism. 

What do we get from joining AMBA?

We always get this asked when we invite businesses and individuals to join AMBA. The answer should the same answer when you are in a romantic relationship or any proper relationships. Its a two way thing. AMBA is a non-profit, we are a group of businesses and like-minded individuals coming together to help one-another and carry out activities that can benefit all its members. As you can see, there are a number of projects and events that we have carried out or undergoing development. We are also working with external parties and Government bodies to get as much assistance as we can. All these will benefit our AMBA members. Apart from that, being part of a group, which especially encourages positivity and harmony, will make an individual feel stronger & supported. You always have someone to go to, especially when things go south in your business or professional life. 

So now, our next question is..what can you give to AMBA?  

What kind of individuals of businesses are suited to join AMBA?

Those who truly believe in the concept of "Paying It Forward" as a universal law and not just for popularity or financial reward. AMBA was founded based on a vision of unity in Malay communities. We do not believe and will not tolerate "mine, mine, mine" behaviour or a "two face" back-stabbing attitude in business or personal life. What can we achieve from being together? Limitless....

If I have an idea, can I get AMBA to help make it happen?

Of course, we love people who put their hands up. We love people who do something when you see something is wrong or could be better. 

If you have an idea, please approach one of the Committee members and we will take it up to the Board.

Where is AMBA heading?

Its a valid question and to be honest, we are currently charting a new territory. We are the first Malay Association that consist of business people or people who aspire to open a business. As such, we are also crafting the way ahead. However, we do see AMBA to become a large group which is independent and have the influence & power to push our Malay business community forward in both local and international operations. We envisioned to have our own AMBA Commercial Building which can house a number of small sized business traders and become the centre of attraction for Halal and lucrative products & supplies.
